The induction heating system incorporates the induction power supply and converts to an alternating current. The current is provided to the work head and the coil generates the electromagnetic field within it. The component is positioned in the coil of the induction heater and the field induces current on the workpiece turning into heat generation.

It works on the principle of high-frequency magnetic induction. The circuit is very simple and only uses the common components. An induction coil is metallic in nature and generally use copper. It draws a current of 5A and can heat the tip of a screwdriver in just 30 seconds.

The circuit consists of integrated transistors to induce current to the coil. The control circuit in the induction heater uses zero voltage switching to activate the transistors and allows efficient flow of power. The current flow in the coil and produces eddy currents. Through the eddy currents, the magnetic field induces around the workpiece. The magnetic field induces current on the component turning into heat generation.

How coil work in an induction heater?

With the help of alternating current field, energy passes through the working coil of the induction heater on the job. The current passing through the coil of the induction heater creates a magnetic field and induces eddy currents on the workpiece. This generation of the eddy currents on the component heats it to the required temperature.
