India may use 5G in 2022 said by TRAI

Our Telecom sector is going to move to 5G by 2022…in the next 4 years of time, access to digital platform will be very  advance said by TRAI (Telecom regulatory authority of India)

SK Gupta  Trai Secretary pointed out that today 400 million people in India have good quality internet access, so the probability of more use of media content through the digital platform is very high.

The new 5G networks can deliver very large amounts of data short distances. It also expected to work in low spectrum frequencies such as 600 MHz as well as frequencies such as the 3.5 GHz spectrum.

5G Technology stands for 5th Generation Mobile technology. 5G mobile technology has changed the means to use cell phones within very high bandwidth. The user never experienced ever before such a high-value technology. Nowadays mobile users have much awareness of the cell phone (mobile) technology. The 5G technologies include all type of advanced features which makes 5G mobile technology most powerful and in huge demand in near future.

Key features

  • 5G has better coverage area and high data rate at the edge of the cell.
  • It has low battery consumption.
  • Availability of multiple data transfer rate.
  • Around 1 Gbps data rate is easily possible.
  • Security is more.
  • Energy efficiency and spectral efficiency are good.

How it works

Next Generation Networks (NGN) consists of support functionalities for data transport, and control transport, as well as functionalities for support of services and applications. The measurement of traffic is a basic control activity in order to provide Quality of Service. In addition, a 5G communication system is designed by the finest Quality of Service (QoS). Quality of Service (QoS) refers to a network‘s ability to achieve maximum bandwidth and deal with other networks performance elements like latency, error rate and uptime. Quality of service also involves controlling and managing network resources by setting priorities for specific types of data (video, audio, files) on the network. QoS is exclusively applied to network traffic generated for video on demand, IPTV, VoIP, streaming media, video conferencing and online gaming. The primary goal of quality of service is to provide priority to networks, including dedicated bandwidth, controlled jitter, low latency, and improved loss characteristics. Its technologies supply the elemental building blocks that will be used for future business applications in campus, wide area networks and service provider networks.

How 5g is different From 4g?

5G speeds will be significantly faster than those of 4G.  In current 4G LTE communications, transfer speeds max out at 1 Gb/s in perfect conditions. Unfortunately, the 4G signal can be interrupted by such obstacles as buildings, Wi-Fi interference, and more.

The new 5G networks are expected to drastically reduce download latency — down to less than 1 millisecond

The aim of 5G is to achieve 1000 times the capacity of 4G.

The new 5G standard will increase download speeds to around 10 Gb/s.

Consumers should be able to expect a 100-Mb/s connection anywhere. In rural areas, that kind of ubiquity will rely on low-band spectrum, and in smart cities, high-band spectrum will achieve that consistency.
